The best of two worlds…

The first world is rational, pragmatic and intellectual. This is my left brain, and my masculine side. This Lotta is the President and Founder of Quickenings, and an established CEO and business coach. She has a business background and a Master of Science in International Economics, and has studied at an MBA-school in Barcelona. She has started and led several companies and has created CORE™ a successful leadership method, which is now being licensed throughout Europe, and she’s just been elected to be the President of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in Greater Los Angeles.

The other world is different. In this world, I live and sense my body. This is my right brain and my feminine side, thriving on being an empowered, sensual and intuitive. This Lotta is a life coach, yoga teacher, singer, published author and has a deep appreciation of her intuition, as she travels her spiritual path.

Even though I was deeply fascinated by the ‘supernatural’ or ‘spirit world’ when I was a child, and felt, even then, as if I were being guided, I gradually became a cynic and rejected this side of me in fear of being ridiculed by others. This rejection drove me to a deep investment in my left brain, masculine side – an investment that lead to great success… and great failure.

In 2000, the Internet company I was the CEO and co-founder of in Sweden was a casualty of the burst of the Internet bubble, falling in a highly publicized bankruptcy. Paparazzi and news media hounded my every move and invaded every facet of my life.  The stress of this event eventually led to the collapse of both my marriage, and my physical health.

Forced to find a new way to thrive that included my once-abandoned right brain, my feminine self, I began a journey of discovery with the aim of integrating this missing half of me. I moved to the US and took a crash course in Life 101 in order to find out who I was. I went on vision quests, worked with gurus, healers, and yoga teachers as well as undertaking a life-changing shamanic journey.

I have now emerged from this journey with an acute understanding of the necessity and practice of successfully merging these worlds – the left brain with the right brain; the mind with body and spirit.  One result of this merger is the launch of our integrated leadership programs. One of them is called The Heroine’s Journey, a leadership program designed to help women grow their business and make more money, while simultaneously growing as persons and leaders. The results have been quite extraordinary, and we are now looking how to bring this to corporations, and to leverage these methods by offering them to both men and women.
