Power vs Force - A New Year’s Lesson From Yoda In the movie “The Empire Strikes Back,” Luke has been given the assignment of moving a sinking airship out of the mud with his mind, and he’s trying very hard, not being very successful until Yoda tells Luke: “No. Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.” For a long time, I’ve grappled with the concept of not trying (which, I should say, is a concept much, much older than the Star Wars movies). How can you learn unless you begin, and how can you accomplish anything, unless you try first?

Is There A Feminine Way of Doing Business? A few weeks ago, the first women ever was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics*, Elinor Ostrom. Usually I don’t bother reading about the rationale behind the Prize, but in this case I was curious. Would her work be different than what we’ve seen before in economics?

What if You Were the Chosen One? What if you were the chosen one? How would that affect every decision you made, and every step you took?

7 Steps To Realizing Any Dream Making dreams a reality often feels far away–you want something, but how do you make it happen? I’ve learned, both in realizing my own dreams and being a conduit for others realizing theirs, that there is, in fact, a recipe.

BOOKS

Don’t Panic The first book written by Lotta Alsén, Don’t Panic, is a book about the emerging Flow Society, outlining, in a slightly heretic way, the 10 Commandments for a new world. The first commandment is that you should not compete. The book is based on complexity science, and the fact that complex systems over time become more and more individualized, which affects us as individuals, as businesses and as societies. It was written in Swedish, and published in 2004. The edition is sold out and currently unavailable.

Publishing Soon Lotta Alsén’s upcoming book is based upon her coaching method, The Heroine’s Journey, and outlines in seven steps how a woman can step into her power using the 7 Chakras, build a successful business and change the world.
